(More customer reviews)I was tired of paying ridiculous amounts of money for new drum assemblies, and was prepared to just replace my Brother printer with a new one rather than invest more money in a well-used (and well-appreciated) machine. But I thought I'd give this product a try since it was so cheap compared to the alternative. It arrived quickly and well-packaged, and included good instructions. Unfortunately, the drum had a few imperfections in it, which showed as lots of annoying spots on every printed page. I was ready to just toss the whole thing, but then decided to call Laser Tek to see what they had to say. They answered the phone quickly, and the guy wanted to send out a replacement drum right away. He also gave me some advice on how to improve the installation and cleaning process for me. The replacement drum arrived a couple of days later, I installed it, and now my prints are perfect.
You can get an occasional bad product sample from anyone, but the true of customer service is how they respond when something goes wrong. Laser Tek responded beautifully, and I will be purchasing all my replacement supplies from them for now on.

(More customer reviews)DO NOT ORDER this product if you own any of the following Brother printers: DCP-8040, DCP-8045D, DCP-8045DN, HL-5130, HL-5140, HL-5150D, HL-5150DLT, HL-5170DN, MFC-8220, MFC-8440, MFC-8640D, MFC-8840D, MFC-8840DN. All these printers require a TN570-style toner cartridge. The product offered on this page is a TN580-style cartridge and WILL NOT WORK in any of the printers I listed, despite what the seller's description says. I have notified both my outside vendor (TheFactoryDepot) and Amazon that this item description is very badly wrong, but so far no one has done anything about it.
I recently bought a used Brother HL-5150D; it had no toner cartridge in it. When I shopped Amazon for toner, I just typed "hl-5150d toner" in the Amazon search box and this page came up. I liked the price and placed my order through Amazon with TheFactoryDepot. I should note that a number of other outside vendors are also using this same page. When I received the merchandise, it was instantly apparent that it wouldn't work in my printer. After some (rather more careful) research, I figured out what had gone wrong and emailed TheFactoryDepot explaining the situation. They emailed back with an RMA number and a caution that I would be charged a restocking fee since I had been so stupid as to order the wrong thing. I emailed them back and pointed out that there seemed to be plenty of stupidity to go around here, and that I expected to be furnished the correct item at no additional cost to me. In the end, TheFactoryDepot supplied me with a prepaid shipping label and refunded my purchase price in full -- but I'm still out the $6.49 I paid for having the wrong item shipped to me in the first place.
