(More customer reviews)I use this TN570 black cartridge on my Brother HL-5140 printer. This is a high-yield cartridge that is rated to print up to 6,700 pages with 5% coverage area. Although it is a remanufacturered product, the cartridge looks brand new! The output from this cartridge is very clear, crisp, and sharp - just like the original. It is cheaper than a new one and offers the same quality, so I save money.
Of course, there are cheaper refills, but you'll need to try them out to see if the quality is up to par. I have even done refilling toner on my own, but I really don't recommend this unless your are prepared to spend some time and deal with mess. First you will have to figure out how to open the plastic filler cap without damaging it (it's tight and easily breaks off), then you need to dump the spent toner still in the cartridge and dispose of it properly, then pour in the new toner, then put back the cap and make sure it stays capped. This doesn't sound too complicated, but you are handling very fine, almost liquid-like powder, so if/when you spill some in the pour-out and pour-in processes, it's a big mess. You may want to wear an industrial mask designed to shield your breathing from this fine powder.
So now I leave this refill process to the professinals and pay a convenience price difference. The Amazonbasics TN570 remanufacturered cartridge produces beautiful prints and is a good value.
