I received the unit just about 45 mins ago and it has flawlessly been installed and configured to run on Windows XP, Windows 98 and a Red Hat 7.3 Linux box (with Samba). The unit is compact but holds almost half a ream of paper and cranked out an 11 page document in just under a minute (validating the 12ppm advertised). The power save feature turns on in an appropriate amount of time (about 90 secs or so) and recovers quickly, no more than 15 seconds. The only drawback is it's lack of expandable memory (although 2MB is a lot for this price) and no USB port if you are interested in that. The standard parallel port seemed quick enough for me. Final thought - better than a great deskjet at the same price!
