I use it for everything! No problems, easy setup, clear faxes. After 2 months of constant use as both a fax and a printer, I have no problems with this unit.

Sharp UXB20 Inkjet Fax Machine Review

(More customer reviews)The Sharp UX-B20 fax machine is easy to set up, does all that I want in a fax machine, prints on plain paper, and uses an ink jet cartridge rather than the hard-to-install roll of ink film. Also, the design of the machine is the "cleanest" and most compact I've seen. The ink cartridge is expensive, about twice as expensive as a roll of ink film. However, it will last about 500 sheets whereas a roll of ink film will only last about 250 sheets. So, the cost of the cartridge is very comparable. Rolls of film are usually about half the cost of the cartridge. Half the cost, but only half the number of sheets!! I like this machine!!

The UXB20 from Sharp is an inkjet fax machine with some nice features and a low price tag. It has a 9,600 bps modem speed, which equates to about 15 seconds per page, and comes with a 448 KB memory, capable of holding up to 24 pages of incoming faxes if you run out of paper. The paper tray holds up to 100 pages, while a 10-page automatic document feeder makes sending multi-page faxes a snap.
The corded telephone that comes with the fax machine is ready for both caller ID and distinctive ring detection, and you can store up to 30 numbers in your speed dial directory to easily call or fax friends, family, or business associates. The UXB20 has a 392-lines/inch vertical maximum fax resolution (203 lines/inch horizontal) and is also capable of making 600 dpi copies. (More customer reviews)Bought this to have a fax machine at home. It was easy to set up. Doesn't take up much space on the desk and you have a built in phone with caller ID, too. The copy machine part of fax makes nice clean copies, too. This wouldn't be very cost effective if you are going to receive a lot of faxes or make a lot of copies. It is great for someone like me who has to fax stuff for work occasionally and doesn't want to drive to the library and pay $2.00 a page.
