(More customer reviews)I have been a HP fan for many years but started looking at other manufacturers due to slow tech. support and high cost of consumables. HL-1850 has fit the bill. Half the cost per sheet compared to my HP. Output is clean and crisp. Built in duplexing. Quick and Quiet! And so far, no jams or problems of any kind. My views my change after wear and tear take their toll, but for now this is the printer of my dreams.

It's able to combine a top speed of 19 pages per minute with high-resolution printing, so you won't have to sacrifice clarity when you're in a hurry. Built-in duplexing supplies standard dual-side printing, while the toner cartridge provides ink for 6,500 pages; with such low usage of paper and ink, the HL-1850 provides both economic and environmental satisfaction.
Paper-handling options include a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet tray that can process a variety of textures such as letterhead, envelopes, labels, and transparencies, along with letter-size and legal-size sheets. Its 32 MB of expandable memory allows the printer to function smoothly even on hectic days.
Brother includes drivers for PC and Macintosh systems, along with their Web-based setup and management software. A one-year warranty for parts and service is provided, with optional Express Exchange service.
