(More customer reviews)Well, folks. Since Amazon was out of stock, I bought them brick and mortar. I'll start by warning you thh case is an absolute joke. Gut that's where it stops being funny. The selection of tips is good, and the comfort is very good. The bass enhanced claim left some doubt in my mind as far as fidelity. Well, there is a bump in the bass.
Not a big boom, but a heft for sure. Better than I expected across the range. Comfort is above average. Wires are short for us tall guys. The instruments sound convincing (especially given the price point) Now keep in mind we have different ear shapes, and different preferences. The sound has a small U shape, similar to the tripl.fi's
It's not as refined as the triples. I gave them a 5 star rating based on the gap the less expensive iem's keep closing on the 400 dolar range of iem's At the fifty dollar tag, I've yet to hear anything under 100 dollars to sound better to my ears and preferences. After hearing several new iem's in the 50-80 dollar range, I was thinking how far this price range has come. In my honest opinion, this set of UE's sets a totally new standard for any iem under 100 dollars. I am thoroughly impressed. Do not hesitate. As I listen to these 50 dollar marvels, I wonder if some of my iem's costing as much as 200 dollars are going to get much use for quite some time. Soundstage is way above the price range, and the build looks like a nice step up from the metro fi series. I would choose these over the UE 700. That's just my opinion though. 50 dollars now buys a very solid mid-fi set of iem's.
A touch warm, while still having nice highs. OUTSTANDING !!
