(More customer reviews)This set of plastic gears worked exactly as the seller described. I was able to use the original toner cartridge that came with my laser printer over and over again. About 30 minutes to read some directions, a phillips screwdriver, some patients, and I was back in business with my modified OEM cartridge. There was not one streak or bad page print from the refil toner I also used from the seller LaserTek. Seller recommended to me after a phone call to them that toner refils will deteriorate after 3-4 refils and then need to be recycled (thrown out). It's sounds crazy that a bunch of plastic can save you money, however, at approx. $46 per toner cartridge, this $6 set of plastic can save you almost $160 in wasteful landfil loading cartridges. Remember, these gears only work on the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) toner that comes with the printer. After 2-4 refils you will not be able to reset again unless you don't mind streaky, gloopy, prints.
Seller is more than helpful on the phone with questions, don't hesistate to ask. :-)

REASONS TO BUY THE GEAR: 1. The "Flag" gears resets the printer and tells it when a new cartridge has been installed. 2. A new cartridge prints light when first installed . When the flag gears reset the printer's toner low message, it will print at a higher voltage to make up for the low voltage on the new toner cartridge. This increases your print quality and as the cartridges page count increases the voltage slowly diminishes. This ensures perfect quality printing throughout the life of the cartridge until the toner is low and is refilled. 3. The flag gear resets the "Toner End Life" message and will make the printer think you just installed a new cartridge which will reset the voltages to begin a new "cartridge cycle".
